Sharing God's Love in a tangible Way
The Society of the Good Shepherd has recently had the opportunity of helping brother Francisco Diaz and his wife Xiomara with a loan. They make cleaning products like hand soap, bleach, fabric softener, disinfectant, etc. Recently, this family opened the doors of their house to us so we could get to know their business and family. It was a great blessing to visit with them.
This is their testimony:
Xiomara worked in sales for a company in the capital, Tegucigalpa, for many years, where she excelled in her department. With the experience she acquired, she thought it would be viable for her and her husband to start their own business, manufacturing the type of cleaning products she was familiar with. Her husband Francisco researched and learned more about various cleaning products through a relative, who also encouraged him to start his own business.
And that is how Aromas Ambientales FIMS started. (FIMS are the initials of their four children: Francisco, Ingrid, Mildred, and Solangel). We have been able to see that one of the main reasons for their success and loyal clientele has been the high quality of their products.
For several years, this business has been the means of income for the Diaz family, including two grandsons that are under their care.
As we know, struggles are a part of daily life, and the Diaz family recently has had their share of them. Last year, Francisco became very sick, and while the doctors were trying to determine exactly what was causing Francisco’s illness, the family spent a lot of money on doctors and medical exams. Once the doctors were finally able to diagnose the cause of his illness, Francisco had to spend even more money for costly surgery. In order to pay the medical bills, Francisco and Xiomara had to withdraw cash from the family business, draining the capital they had in it. They then had no way to rebuild the business, as it is extremely difficult to obtain a small business loan from a bank in Honduras.
Therefore, when Francisco and Xiomara heard about the ministry of the Society of the Good Shepherd, they applied for a loan, and the Society agreed to make an interest-free loan to them to enable them to restart their family business. With the money they received, they bought raw materials to begin making cleaning products again.
Their business is presently running well, and we hope that the Lord may continue guiding them and providing for their family and business.
We are glad to have become acquainted with Francisco and Xiomara through this ministry, for they have a great testimony and live a life dedicated to God. We encourage you to keep them in your prayers.
Here is a brief note that Xiomara asked us to share with you (which I have translated into English):
“The Society of the Good Shepherd is a great blessing. We are able to see the love you have for all of us who receive a loan. May God bless you and keep prospering the ministry. We send you all our love and many blessings, and may God keep you in good health. Thank you.”
