A unique feature of our PDF version of the Ante-Nicene Fathers is that we have eliminated all of the spurious writings and fake gospels that are unfortunately included in the written volumes. We have also eliminated Volume 10 of the set, which is primarily a bibliography accompanied with an “index” that is of little use to most readers. The PDF search capabilities make this index unnecessary.

Now, this is the way to have your Ante-Nicene Fathers. It’s all on one disc. I am still a little confused when looking up a particular writing.
It’s not very easy to search this disc. It’s all there but not easy to get at. I’ll recommend it nevertheless, with that warning.
The key to using this set is by using the bookmarks that come already set-up. Just simply click the bookmark icon on the side bar of the Adobe reader and you can easily navigate this huge book. A great product at a great price, and easy to navigate to boot. Buy this!
I bought this hoping that it would make searching the large ANF collection easier, and in some ways it has……and in some it has not.
ALL of the information is there, and the bookmarks DO help. But to dig deep into a subject you have to “think” in KJV English in most ways, which is a pain IMHO. Terms like “love” or “spirit” work great, but try “affection” or “confusion” and the results are lacking….
I guess what I am trying to say is that it is about as fast going over to my bookcase, pulling the volume down, and looking it up as it is to try to do a search in the program for 70% of my studies so far. Maybe that is on me, and what I search for / search terms I enter?
But even with that, it IS well worth the cost to have all the books in one location on your HDD. The font used is easy to read on screens as small as my 7″ tablet, so for that I give it 4 stars.
My dear brothers and sisters of Scroll Publishing, I am so grateful for your arduous work of digitizing the Ante-Nicene Fathers. If I remember correctly, the hard copy volumes of this work cost much more money… and, you folks are in essence giving it away!?
