Everyone has a unique story. David’s is similar to my own and to others we’ve met. He and his wife grew up in a well-known sect and years later began looking for a church home with integrity, where God’s word was treated as such.
“Home” needed to hold to the Bible being God’s word to us without commentaries necessary, to explain what “God meant to say.”
We’re thankful for his testimony (on 2 CDs) because, in a very real sense, David tells how God lays down His red carpet of invitation to come to Him without fear or even timidity. Regardless of where we’re at, (as God put it to me:) God cares 1] which direction we’re facing, and 2] how fast / diligently we’re moving toward Him. God’s a rewarder of those who show integrity in following Him despite our mistakes en route.
