Jan Luyken was a noted 17th century Dutch artist, who furnished the copper etchings for Martyrs Mirror. These illustrations depict the martyrdoms of faithful Christians throughout history, including the 12 apostles, the early Christians, the Waldensians, and the Anabaptists.
