In this audio message, Bercot introduces his listeners to the most important figures in the early church (A. D. 90-325). This helpful disc includes church leaders, writers, martyrs, and heretics. He provides biographical information about each of these persons and explains why they are remembered. Bercot divides the early Christians into four groups:
  • The Writers The Didache, Hermas, Justin Martyr, Tatian, Athenagoras, Clement of Alexandria, Tertullian, Mark Minucius Felix, Origen, and  Lactantius
  • The Church Leaders Clement of Rome, Irenaeus, Hippolytus, Novatian, and Cyprian, Alexander of Alexandria
  • The Martyrs Ignatius, Polycarp, Blandina, Perpetua, and Felicitas
  • The Heretics Simon Magus, Marcion, and Valentinus
