his book is a worthwhile read on the subject of Anabaptism and the Reformers. Rev. Verduin has done considerable research. However, with respect to a related matter, infant baptism, the book contains a flaw. It attributes a quote to the Reformer Zwingli incorrectly. Dialogos Studies has done research into this. As this volume shows, the accusations faced by the Anabaptists were the same as those suffered by earlier persecuted christians.
It helps to put things in perspective, especially today, as I see many Evangelicals caught up in the culture wars. The people of God will not be popular if they stay true to the Scriptures.
